The Fordham BID Business Improvement District, formed in 2005, is a not-for-profit local development organization founded in 2005. Our primary mission is to foster, promote and grow our world-class businesses, cultural and educational facilities, residence and retailers.
Managing the Fordham Road Business Improvement District (BID) covers maintenance and sanitation conditions, provide business assistance and development services, security, facilitating the construction of public spaces and streetscapes that promote an active and cohesive community, environmental improvement for existing and new business, promote Fordham Road’s cultural assets and importance and engaging with our diverse community.
Our BIDs provide supplementary sanitation and public safety services, marketing support, placemaking events at our public plazas, and streetscape improvement and beautification.
Wilma is not only responsible for establishing the Fordham Road BID in 2005 but also the heart and soul of our organization and a city-wide known advocate for the improvement of our community. With more than 20 years of experience in non-for-profit organization, Wilma’s experience and knowhow are the thriving force behind the direction the Fordham Road BID will go in the next 5-10 years.
